Apartment in Little Italy by Wooster Square New Haven

Property was located in a good neighborhood. It felt safe. The owner was very nice. The apartment was clean and decorated okay, but Kitchen cabinets were old and bottom cabinets looked like they needed more cleaning. The closet door was hanging off the kitchen closet. Bathroom and living room were clean but tub caulking was old and needed to be recaulked. Bathroom vents showed age and rust. The parking was fine but ground not paved. The blinds in the hallway were old and some part missing- needed to be replaced. Outside air was coming in through the bottom of the air conditioners which made the rooms drafty. The apartment description on Vrbo says the apartment is on the first floor, about 5400 square feet with few stairs. The advertisement needs to be corrected to read that the apartment is on the second floor, about 900 square feet in size, with a full flight of steep stairs, no elevator. The foyer hall and stair carpet leading up to door smelled musty and looked old. Someone who lives in the building frequently smoked weed in their apartment and the smell comes through the vents. We saw two large roaches. We left two days early because it was too much. I did not report this to the owner until I checked out. Didn’t see how he could fix all of these problems while we were staying there- too many.

Great black-out curtains. Very hot water. Attractively decorated, plenty of space. Positive: Easy entry at my convenience. I loved the full black-out curtains in the bedroom. Negative: Some of the outlets don't work when the room light is switched off, so I thought I was charging my devices but realized later they were not receiving power with the lights off.

Pelo preço, poderia oferecer mais, apesar da boa localização. Positive: Localização, bom tamanho, cozinha razoavelmente bem equipada. Oferece comodidades básicas. Cama e travesseiros confortáveis, sala com sofá confortável e boa televisão. Negative: Limpeza e conservação em geral. Banheiro com chuveiro baixo, não tem lava louças e cobra caro para lavagem e secagem de roupas. Aparelhos de ar refrigerado de janela, extremamente barulhentos e em posição que impede o fechamento se cortinas, tornando o quarto extremamente claro muito cedo, principalmente na época do verão.
