Prime Downtown New Haven Private Apartment – Furnished Vacation Rental Near Yale & Train Station

Central location, complete apartment, but less charming that expected Positive: The location is very central and there are two proper double bed rooms. The place is complete with all you need and it was absolutely clean. Bathroom was nicely decorated and nice amenities. Negative: Airconditioning in all rooms were very old and made a lot of noise. The living room with kitchen is cramped and the water cooker was unfortunately broken. There were several big leakage spots on the ceilings in the bedroom and living room. The house is surrounded by parking lots and generators that also make a lot of noise when windows are open.

It was a great experience for us. We were able to come “home” after a long day from what we were doing. And that was the Positive: It was convenient to where we were going to be at. Everything was within 5-10 min drive or short walk for us. Negative: There wasn’t anything wrong with it. There was a broken window but that was beyond anyone’s control (accident before we arrived) but it didn’t matter to us. The place was great!

Terrible housekeeping. Lots of ants. Good location. Positive: The location was fine for our purposes. Negative: The housekeeping at the property left a lot to be desired: When we were ready to go to bed on Friday evening, we found that the bed had obviously been slept in (photo showing the difference between primary and secondary bedrooms attached). I called the property owners to find out where I could find clean sheets. They offered a move to the downstairs property, but as we were ready to go to sleep after a long day, I just wanted clean sheets. Eventually, the property owner gave me the code to the linen closet so I could change the sheets myself. Then, as we were tucking in, I found that the lightbulb in one of the reading lamps by the bed didn't work. When I texted the owner, he responded with practically an LOL -- "it will get fixed next week." Not helpful at all. The next morning we found that there were only two bath towels in the bathroom (we were 4 guests). Luckily, I discovered some clean towels in another closet and got those out. When my daughter wanted to cook us scrambled eggs for breakfast, she found that the mixing bowl and the frying pan were dirty. Moreover, we discovered that the place is overrun with tiny ants everywhere -- kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, sitting area. Finally -- and that's just an observation: The exterior staircase is in terrible shape and could possibly represent a danger to anyone
